CIF Instructor History Reports for Reappointment, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT)

We are pleased to let you know that the updated CIF Instructor History Report for Reappointment, Promotion, and Tenure (RPT) is now available.  (Note: users will need to select a name from the Instructor drop-down box to view data.)

As noted previously, the report compiles CIF results from the past 10 years through Summer 2025 and returns to the familiar format used prior to Academic Year 2024/25 -- streamlined to highlight the data most relevant for RPT cases. We hope this helps reduce the need for manual compilation and makes the review process more efficient.

One key caveat to note: beginning with data from Summer 2024 (the transition to CIF Blue), the comparison group data for the “Time Outside Class” measure is not populated in the graphs. The average for each instructor/course combination is still shown in the table above the graphs; it is only the comparison piece that is missing.

This is due to differences in how the measure must be calculated in Blue compared with the prior system. While the technical details are complex, the core course-level data remains accurate and complete.
